Country spirit & city style

The story of Simmone Logue

Born and raised in NSW’s picturesque Hunter Valley, Simmone Logue cannot even remember a time she didn’t love food. Immersed in an environment where fresh produce was plentiful, she spent her childhood picking fruit, fishing for crayfish, and fossicking for mushrooms. Back in the kitchen, Simmone learned the art of cooking from her nannas, who both had recipes to bequeath and secrets to share.

After moving to Sydney, Simmone turned her passion into a profession, starting her very own cake business in 1990. Thanks to her talent and special touch, things took off quickly – and before long, Simmone had set up shop in Balmain and branched out into ready-to-eat meals, unforgettable wedding cakes and online store.

In the years since then, countless people all over the nation have experienced Simmone’s creations and become loyal fans of the brand. Having diversified even further into the gourmet grocery sector and airline catering, Simmone now has a team of 80 and a client list that includes some of Australia’s highest-profile businesses and brands. She’s also penned a best-selling book, ‘In the kitchen’, a treasure trove of classic recipes and inspiration.

However, while she’s come a long way from her rural hometown, what hasn’t changed in Simmone’s philosophy: a commitment to using fresh seasonal produce, and making beautiful, wholesome food that brings joy to many.

Our nearest & dearest

Supporting local suppliers

It’s impossible to create irresistible, nourishing food without equally gorgeous ingredients – and at Simmone Logue, we’re proud of the quality that comes through in every bite. It’s not just a reflection on our own team, it’s a credit to the multitude of suppliers we work with, from our specialty cheese purveyors, to the artisan butchers, and farmers who deliver our poultry, meat and fruit and veg.

As an Australian business, we love supporting our fellow foodies, so we try to source all our ingredients from local growers and manufacturers. Over the years, we’ve been lucky to build a family of incredible suppliers who all share our passion for produce that’s super delicious and bursting with flavour. It’s thanks to all these people that we’re able to serve up feel-good and nourishing food that tastes so great!!
